The Desert Walkers - GAHO

Five dark figures walk in single file across a golden dune, each one carrying a bundle, their shapes set down in thick black paint. Behind them a pale ridge of sand divides the dune from a band of deep blue sky, and the gold runs unbroken across the whole lower half of the canvas.

Painted in thick impasto, the paint ridged by the knife so the weave of the canvas shows through. GAHO is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels who has painted landscapes and everyday scenes for many years, in intense colour and strong contrasts of light and shadow. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
