Symbiose - Anke Fillies

A woman's face rises out of a ground of ochre, yellow and white, painted with sharp detail around the eyes and mouth while the edges dissolve into washes and scraped paint. Pale orchids open at the right side of her head, and four fish swim across the picture, one through her hair and three below her mouth. Small red marks and dark drips are scattered over the surface.

A mixed-media painting worked in layered washes with scraping, drips and dry brushwork. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
