The Artist
My work explores identity, vulnerability, and the tension between the self we reveal and the self we protect. Through oil painting, I use the human body, masks, symbolic objects, and dramatic light to create psychologically charged scenes. Influenced by chiaroscuro and the tradition of figurative painting, my practice combines realism with symbolism. I am particularly interested in moments of introspection, where the figure becomes a way to explore personal experiences, hidden emotions, and the search for identity. Light plays a central role in my paintings: it reveals, conceals, and transforms, creating a space between reality and inner experience.
