Nachtflits - Madame Petit

A slim golden figure floats on a deep red and black ground, and above its head a burst of green, yellow and red opens like a flare. Pink blooms drift around the body, and the whole surface is flecked with small points of gold.

Painted in deep glazes over a dark ground, with gold flicked across the surface and the figure left as a flat, luminous shape. Madame Petit is the work of Shjazz, a visual artist, jazz vocalist, poet and drama educator based in Groningen, who works with oils, acrylics, photography and mixed media on themes of identity, growth and freedom. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
