Doner Kebab Picnic - Natascha Baumgärtner

A doner kebab stuffed with green salad sits half-wrapped in white paper on a grey plate, laid on a pink tablecloth with blue stripes. Around it are half a juicy cantaloupe melon, half an orange, a small glass of red drink, three blueberries, a crumpled napkin and a loose length of yellow string. Loose, energetic brushstrokes and bold reds give this picnic still life a warm summer feel.

Created by Berlin-based digital illustrator Natascha Baumgärtner, whose expressive, painterly scenes turn the leftovers of everyday life into vivid, slightly surreal moments. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
